How to add a widget to Shopify

Embed your Shareables widget on your Shopify store.

Copy your widget’s embed code

Open the Share modal in your widget editor and copy your embed code. See How to install on your website for detailed steps.

Choose your method and add the code

Add a Custom Liquid section:

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin
  2. Navigate to Online Store → Themes
  3. Click Customize on your active theme
  4. Click Add section where you want the widget
  5. Select Custom Liquid (or Custom HTML)
  6. Paste your Shareables embed code in the Liquid field
  7. Click Save

If your theme doesn’t have Custom Liquid, use the “Edit Theme Code” tab instead.

Adding to specific pages

Product pages:

  1. In the Theme Customizer, select a product page template
  2. Add a Custom Liquid section
  3. Paste your embed code

Collection pages:

  1. Select a collection page template
  2. Add the Custom Liquid section
  3. Paste your embed code

Troubleshooting

Widget not showing

  • Clear Shopify’s theme cache
  • Check if your theme supports Custom Liquid sections
  • Try editing the theme code directly

Widget conflicts with theme

  • Add the widget in an isolated section
  • Check for CSS conflicts from your theme
  • Contact support if issues persist
