Additional Widget Customization
Fine-tune your widget’s overall appearance with background colour and padding settings.
Background Colour
Set a custom background colour for your entire widget.
Open design settings
- Open your widget in the editor
- Go to Design
Set the background colour
- Find the Background Color setting
- Click the colour picker
- Select a colour from the palette or enter a hex code
- The preview updates in real-time
Leave the background colour empty or set it to transparent if you want the widget to blend with your website’s background.
Widget Padding
Control the spacing around the edge of your widget content with horizontal and vertical padding.
Open padding settings
- Open your widget in the editor
- Go to Design → Padding
Adjust horizontal padding
- Enter a value in pixels for Horizontal padding
- This controls the left and right spacing
- Default is 32px
Adjust vertical padding
- Enter a value in pixels for Vertical padding
- This controls the top and bottom spacing
- Default is 32px
Set padding to 0 if you want your widget content to extend to the edges. This is useful when embedding in containers that already have their own padding.
Tips
- Matching your site: Use a background colour that complements your website’s design
- Breathing room: Adequate padding (20-40px) makes your widget feel less cramped
- Edge-to-edge: Set padding to 0 for a full-width appearance within your embed container
- Consistency: Consider using the same padding values for both horizontal and vertical for a balanced look
