How to duplicate widgets
Create a copy of an existing widget to use as a starting point.
Find your widget
- From your dashboard, find the widget you want to duplicate
- Click the settings menu (gear icon)
Duplicate
- Select Duplicate
- A copy will be created with “(Copy)” added to the name
- The duplicate appears in your dashboard
Duplicating a widget copies all settings, styles, and configuration. The data source connection is also copied.
What gets duplicated
- Layout and design settings
- Filters, sorting, and search configuration
- Custom CSS/JS
- Data source connection
What doesn’t get duplicated
- Analytics data (starts fresh)
- Custom domain assignments
- Embed installations (you’ll need new embed codes)
When to duplicate
- Testing changes without affecting the live widget
- Creating variations for different pages
- Starting a new widget with similar settings
