Buildin Integration

Connect your Buildin workspace to create beautiful, embeddable widgets. Buildin is a Notion-like workspace with flexible databases and rich property types.

Connecting Buildin

Click Connect Buildin

From the connection modal, click Buildin. If you’ve connected before, you can select a previous connection from the dropdown.

Authorize with Buildin

You’ll be redirected to Buildin’s authorization page. Sign in to your Buildin account and select the pages and databases you want to share with Shareables.

Shareables only requests read access to the databases you explicitly authorize. We never modify your data.

Select a database

After connecting, select the database you want to display. If search is supported, you’ll see a dropdown of all authorized databases. Otherwise, paste your database URL or ID.

Done!

Your Buildin data is now connected and ready to display in your widget.

Finding your Database ID

If you need to enter your database ID manually:

  1. Open your database in Buildin
  2. Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar
  3. Paste the full URL into the database field — we’ll extract the ID automatically

You can also copy just the database ID (a UUID like abc12345-1234-5678-abcd-1234567890ab).

Supported Property Types

Buildin databases support rich property types that map to widget fields:

Property TypeDisplay
TitleText (primary field)
Rich TextPlain text content

Multi SelectComma-separated options
CheckboxTrue/False

How Data Refreshes

Your published widget uses smart caching to balance performance with data freshness. You can choose between On widget load (default) or Real-time refresh modes.

For full details on how caching works and how to configure refresh modes, see Data Refresh.

Troubleshooting

Authorization failed

Make sure you’re signed in to the correct Buildin account. If the authorization page shows an error, try disconnecting and reconnecting.

No databases found

Make sure you authorized at least one database during the connection step. You can disconnect and reconnect to update your authorized pages.

Database not found

If you entered a database ID manually, double-check that the ID is correct and that the database was authorized during connection. The bot can only access pages you explicitly shared.

Data not loading

Check that your database has at least one record. If the database was recently created, try refreshing. If the issue persists, get in touch.
